QuickStart guide - General (under construction)

1) Install "FeedZcollectorSetup v0.3 demo.msi" by double click or "open".

2) Open application (database application or dedicated software) in order to fill the database with URL(s) of feeds to be captured

3) Fill the FeedURL field one by one with the url(s) of the feed(s) that must be grabbed


4) Adjust the grabbing interval (updateSeconds field) if needed


5) Close the application

6) Start the FeedZcollector administrator


7) A red feedZcollector icon appears in the system tray


8) Double Click this icon. The FeedZcollector administrator window pops up.


9) Click 'Start' button.
From now on FeedZcollector starts grabbing the feed(s) you entered in the database and
The FeedZcollector administraor shows the activity.

10) After a while the information taken from feeds that were successfully grabbed is placed in the database tables Feeds and Items.
For instance, if everything works well, the items table should look similar to this




N.B. FeedZcollector administrator auto starts the next time a user logs in.
